Prayagraj, Lucknow and Varanasi Tour Itinerary

Day 1
You will be welcomed into this holy land by our tour representative who will guide and transfer you to your allotted hotel here. After freshening up you will be taken for visit to some of the most highly revered temples here, starting with Kashi Vishwanath Temple (golden temple) which is one of the most popular shrines of Lord Shiva since it is also home to one out of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Later you will be taken to Durga Mandir, a bright red temple which was constructed in 18th-century and dedicated to Maa Durga. Finally, you will be taken to Tulsi Manas Mandir, the place where the historical Hindu epic Ramcharitmanas was written by Goswami Tulsidas. During sunset you will be taken for the evening Ganga Aarti on the Dashashwamedh Ghat which is not only beautiful to look at but it also works in spiritually uplifting your soul.
Finally you will head on towards your hotel for the night.
Day 2
Your morning will commence by witnessing a glorious sunrise on a boat ride on the holy River Ganga. You will then be taken to Bodhgaya, which will be a 5 hours road journey. Upon arriving at Bodhgaya you will be duly checked in to your hotel after which you will be made to visit the famous site for Buddhist pilgrimage tourism and one of the cardinal points in Varanasi, Mahabodhi temple – which houses a descendant of the Bodhi tree under which Buddha had attained his enlightenment. After spending some time here you will be taken back to your hotel for staying the night.
Day 3
Early in the morning, you will be made to proceed towards the city of Gaya which is located at a distance of 5 hours from the main town of Bodhgaya. Here you will be made to visit the temple which houses the footprints of Lord Vishnu himself – Vishnupad temple.
Your journey towards Varanasi will then commence which will take 5 hours and upon your arrival there you will be transferred to your allotted hotel here for spending the night.
Your evening will be free for you to explore the neighboring market places and shop for local souvenirs like, Banarasi silk, wooden toys, Gulabi Meenakari, Rudraksh mala and much more. you can also gorge on some locally prepared delicacies like, Chena Dahi Vada, Kachori Sabzi, Malaiyyo, Choor Matar and so much more.
Day 4
Early morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Allahabad while stopping en route at Vindhyachal where you will be made to visit Maa Vindhyavasini Mandir which is dedicated to goddess Durga.
You will then head on towards Allahabad which will be a 2 hour journey, where upon arrival you will be checked into your hotel and later proceed towards the famous confluence of the three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati – Triveni Sangam. You will be made to take a holy dip at this highly sacred point and offer your Pooja rituals. You will also be made to visit Allahabad fort from where you will be able to view the ravishing setting sun and browse through the Allahabad museum filled with ancient weaponry and other interesting artifacts.
Before heading back to your hotel you will be taken to Swaraj Bhawan or popularly also known as Anand Bhawan will be your next stop which is a large mansion formerly owned by Motilal Nehru and had served as the Nehru family’s residence.
Day 5
Early in the morning, you will be taken to the birthplace of Lord Rama – Ayodhya. Upon your arrival here and after getting you checked in you will be taken for a brief sightseeing tour of the city kick starting with, Hanuman Garhi Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman where the custom remains that before visiting Lord Rama’s temple you will have to visit Lord Hanuman temple first.
You will then be taken to Dashrath Bhawan – which is located at the center of the town and is known for being the palace of Dashrath in the initial years and Lord Rama along with his siblings is said to have spent his childhood and youth here.
Finally, you will be made to proceed towards Lucknow which is a 2.5 hours long road journey. You will be spending the night here in your allotted hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast, you will be driven to Naimisharanya or popularly known as Neemsar which is located on the banks of the River Gomti (a tributary of River Ganga). A dip in this river is said to be an extremely sacred ritual. It will take 2 hours to reach Naimisharanya the place where Ved Vyas is said to have written the epic Hindu mythology Mahabharata.
You will be made to visit Chakratirth Mandir which holds great relevance to Hindus. Later you will be made to proceed towards Lalita Devi Temple which is one of the most important Shakti Peeths in India.
Later after a wholesome tour of the city you will be transferred back to Lucknow for the night.
Day 7
Post breakfast early in the morning you will be taken for a local sightseeing tour of the city starting with a visit to Bara and Chota Imambara – which are the sacred complexes built in 17th century consisting of imposing structures. Rumi Darwaza will be your next stop which is a towering gateway which was built by Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784.
Finally, after an insightful day you will then be headed towards your departure destination from where you will head on to your onward destination.
